After 6 years of a sedentary desk job I quit and went full time on my business. Shortly after that got into ElkShape Training. Prior to those 6 years I was heavily involved in CrossFit.

I'm really enjoying the programming. I played college sports but have never done any CrossFit style workouts. I find these easy to follow and substitutions are easy for my simple home gym. Much more enjoyable(while being miserable!) than others I've tried. Elk hunting is a passion of mine, but as much as I love it there are ulterior motives. My grandpa and my dad both had heart attacks. My dad's was in his early 50s. I'm 42 now, and I'd like to end the heart attack trend. With this program I'm in the best shape I've been in since those college sports days, maybe better. My journey with ElkShape started with the 90 Days to Freedom program after a successful hunting season and holiday season. It started because I peaked my weight at 190. I was sluggish, had bad sleep, and was very unhappy with body image. The 90 Days to Freedom lead to ElkShape Training very quickly. At my lowest body weight I was 160 and training for 1/2 marathon. Starting elk hunting at 50 was a challenge, especially coming from a Spartan race background.
